Lawrence started morning kindergarten on August 26th. He seems to love it and the afternoon childcare. In fact, he sternly reprimanded his father last week for picking him up, as he was just about to perform the play that they had been rehearsing. Lawrence was going to be a penguin.

Just in case you have trouble understanding, it was, “A racetrack, a movie and Optimus Prime.”

Lawrence tells his mom about a nightmare he had last night about Transformers coming to his school and killing him and his friends. He pauses and adds, “But I’m trying to move past it.”

Lawrence tells his father that when he’s older and has his own son, he’ll let him do whatever he wants.

Lawrence’s preschool has a spring hat parade, with the children modeling hats made by (for the most part) their parents. We figure that this is the first and last year that Lawrence will wear a hat with flowers.

Lawrence starts wearing underpants full-time (except at night).
